Hi all,
Well It's only mid november, and I'm already excited about christmas. It's a big holiday in our family, and I can't wait. It's always been my favorite. I caught myself downloading christmas music the other day, it was weird. My friends are also starting to get in to the spirit. Anyone here getting excited about the holiday season?

I'm looking forward to it, but the spirit hasn't set in quite, quite yet lol! I love Christmas music lol. And the holidays in general. Yay for Christmas!!!

yeah yeah yeah yeah christmas is just soooo smiley smiley :) Lol just reading this made me smile. I guess I've been pretty depressed of late so haven't thought much about it as I actually had done a few weeks prior but yeah .. when I start really feeling it is when I am walking around the shops and christmas carrols are playing all round!
I khnow I will relax and feel christmas coming stronger when I get next year of my life sorted - as in what exactly I'm doing, then I can relax and enjoy the remainder of my extended holiday and christmas! .. I looove our family get togethers and this year we're all going to my parents house but, it's not quite the same as it use to be cos my Mum and my aunty (my dad's brother's wife) are not talking and it's been like that for a few years. It makes me sooo sad! It was only something that my aunt said as a joke (but Mum doesn't see it that way) but I wish they'd just get the heck over it! they were talking last week at my cousin's 21st and then a few months before at Bec's engagement so who knows?! hopefully it will remain a good sign?!
but thanks JP for reminding me of what I should be happy about. :)

B.S. if you want to download some awesome christmas stuff, go and get songs from "Bucco and Champs" they are clearly the funniest Australian group I know of. :)

Yup kinda. I'll get into the Christmas spirt when I'm done with all of my gift shopping. I always get my shopping done for the holidays before Thanksgiving. You wont catch me out in the mall after Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving.). Once everyone's taken care of off my list (which almost done a few cousins and my parents and sis.) then I'll relax and enjoy it.

Christmas can feck off! I'm not in to MR Happy this year in fact Ebeneezer Scrooge could learn a thing or 2 about getting rid of the festive spirit. My brother and I will be sharing a bottle of delicious Glenmorangie 12yr old single malt with 2 large glasses! With ice the phone will be disconected, the pc will end up in a box preferably in Italy! If Ally had his way.

We will build the funeral pyre in time for our crimbo bonfire consisting of the tree {known as that bloody twig!}
Tinsel, cards, advent calenders, except those with chocolate hidden in the windows slade records, fairy lights, angels and pictures of fat jolly santa!

For a stressed out Goth christmas is hell!

Well I've already started downloading christmas music already, and already have a folder dedicated to it on the harddrive. Basically once a year I'll move it to my external drive, and after christmas day, it's back to the c drive untill the following year, and it's always a riot to hear porky pig doing blue christmas! I tell yall I nearly died laughing when I first heard it, that and chipmunks rosting on an open fire from Bob Rivers! I have those mp3's for anyone who wants them, just add me to your msn if you want them, and I'll give them to yall!

I love Christmas Music. I have a rule that I can't take it out until the day after Thanksgiving, I usually spend that day digging out my Christmas CD's. Then they have to go back on January 2 of the next year, so I don't get tired of them. Christmas music rocks!

Every year a week before Thanksgiving a few of the stations out here in my area start playing Christmas music 24/7. All the way til Xmas is over. Now that can get mighty boring.

Post 18 by Caitlin (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Wednesday, 17-Nov-2004 0:37:59

A couple stations are like that out here. But sometimes they don't play enough Christmas music, or they play stuff that I don't like. I don't know lol ... it's a mix of both.

Wait a minute. Did you guys say *several* stations in your area played Christmas music 24/7? Wow. I've heard of only one station in a given market doing that but more than one? Not sure what I think of that. Yes, I like Christmas music, but I'm picky and prefer the comedy stuff over the serious stuff, and if you're doing the serious stuff, I like to hear arrangements that are fairly unique and not so much by the book.

Here in New York, Christmas is a huge deal. They started playing the Radio City Christmas show comercials on Tv in mid-October, some stores in the city have set up their window displays, and my school choir's getting in gear for the Christmas concert. As for me, I'm looking forward to having a massive celebration this year. We didn't really do anything last Christmas since my grandfather died a few weeks before, so this year I'm waiting for a big smelly evergreen and parties.

wow! Lots of christmasness! I know what ya mean about the radio stations. The malls here are also starting to play christmas music, and I'm bad for singing it in the store hahaha!

Post 24 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 20-Nov-2004 13:16:59

Well, if you use Winamp, go into the Winamp library and do a search for Christmas and also for holiday. There's already about 20 or so stations playing all Christmas material.

It si of my opinion that Christmas music gets old before Christmas. I spend my time (Since I am a radio nurde), avoiding stations like AC (Soft Rock) ones t that always start!
Theyr'e all ready starting and I am going nuts. I like Christmas music about a week before Christmas time. This is when dad and I used to wrap presents. Unforutnetly that wont be happening this year as I probably won't even get home til Christmas eve, but oh well. Sucks, because it is my favorate time with dad sipping eg nog and scotes and wrapping stuff as I put on Christmas station on the stereo. Wraping with mom just isn't as fun. sta
